Escape from reality in this interactive exhibition that changes ISU’s Design on Main space into a labyrinth of blanket and sheet forts. Building on childhood memories of sheet curtains on a clothesline and castles built from furniture and blankets, Julia invites the viewers to find clues about hidden secrets in her life that she was oblivious to as a kid. Nostalgia prevails amid the safe and imaginative spaces. Come meander, crawl and lounge in this unusual interpretation that offers opportunities for discovery, escape and reflection.
This family friendly activity offers visitors the opportunity to build your own refuge with vintage sheets and old furniture. Come be a kid again and play. This is a free activity and is held in conjunction with the Octagon Arts Festival.
